Brick & Mortar Tinting

At Maple Home Improvements, we provide bespoke brick and mortar tinting services to blend and match brickwork and mortar or to create a brand new look for your property. We use premium products and the latest techniques in order to create beautifully finished brickwork. During the process of building repairs and extensions, the problem of being able to match the mortar colour or to source original bricks can occur and often, original bricks will have been discontinued. This creates difficulties in colour matching and it will often result in mismatched bricks and an unsightly looking finish to the property. This is where the need for brick & mortar tinting arises.

Brick & Mortar tinting is essentially a method of dying a brick or the mortar to colour match the existing finish or to change the look of the property to something new. Tinting uses bespoke mixes of pigments to permanently stain the brick without changing the texture, physical properties or natural characteristics of the material. Unlike paints which only coat the surface of the brick and can flake- requiring ongoing maintenance, tints will stain the brick whilst still allowing it to breathe. For a seamless look, it is essential that the tinted bricks have a texture which is as close as possible to the old bricks.
